The Third Test

Well the third test is upon us. The Pakis are a bit like St George NRL, you don't know which side is going to turn up to play. The wicky debacle with brother in brother out situation then the captain saying Akmal is not dropped but just having a rest sets up an interesting scenario. If Ponting wins the toss he will bowl........just kidding. If he wins we will bat and there is every likliehood a big score will follow as Bellerive is normally pretty friendly day one and two. That will be enough to take any resistance out of the visitors if there is any left anyway. 3 blot and the icing on a cake of easy beats as originally predicted.

Quotable Quotes

"Jofra is still very young in his Test career. Jofra's learning about himself and the game of Test cricket and equally Joe is learning to captain him as well. " Chris Silverwood, England Coach 24/11/19
"This limpet-like desire to stay in the middle, searching every part of himself to do so, is something that was first glimpsed well away from the spotlight, and then seen when he was granted that oft-criticised chance to bat No. 3 against India in January." Daniel Brettig on Marnus Labuschagne 24/11/19
"There were probably times where it was a bit of a dream. We just fought, dug in and played a brand the Australian cricket team wants to play." Tim Paine 11/10/18
"I've worked my backside off for the last 10 years of first-class cricket, day in, day out. People think because of my relaxed nature ... that I've been gifted to be able to get to where I am, but it's not the case at all." Usman Khawaja 11/10/18
"It was tough going, a real grind, and credit to them. It was some real quality bowling. I thought we were just about through that." Aaron Finch 9/10/18
"Alastair has been the rock of England's batting for the last 12 years since he made his debut and while we are all sad to see him retire, we must rejoice in what he has done for our country," Graham Gooch (4/9/18)
"That's my opinion: we've either got to say, 'it's all out there, warts and all', or put out what he recommended we should do going forward, because to me, that's the key. It's about what we can do in the future to make the game better, not necessarily what we've done wrong in the past." Mark Taylor, talking about the review of Australian cricket culture. (2/9/18)
