I'll leave you think on that a day or so before I post an opinion. Go to the article in the SMH (click here) where you can even have a vote and then come back and pass a comment below.
Whilst 50 Test centuries is outstanding, the comparison between The Don and The Little Master is fairly lame. The Don was and remains the finest Test batsman of all time - period. The SMH article outlines the differences wonderfully - so well in fact it makes the claims from the sub-continent laughable that Sachin is the new "best". I won't repeat the stats from the article, but surely the fact is undeniable - The Don is good!

the Don played with limited protective gear, less 'forceful' bats, different rules (leg side) and uncovered pitches, things that are taken for granted now. Satchin has these things covered but has dominated the greatest wicket takers in the games history and angainst more nations, all pervasive media, scientific analysis etc.
i (obviously) didn't see Bradman bat and have wartched Sachins career from a Warne blasting SCG test until now- averages tell a lot, but will inevitably diminish over a longer career, and Bradmans stands alone!
that said, you are only as good as your last knock- so that would be 100-0!
