India cruised to the top of Group B and remain, like Australia, unbeaten in this World Cup. Their opponents, The Netherlands, who started this tournament by knocking England down to one knee only for Ireland to gain the glory, are looking a tired outfit. Having decided to bat, they they were 7-127 in the 39th over and only a late flurry from the skipper Borren and his opening bowler Bukhari gave them a reasonable total. 189 is one of those totals that you say hopefully to each other, "at least we've got runs on the board", all the time knowing they will never be enough. India's combination of two left arm quicks and the assorted bag of four spinners was more than enough to knock over the Dutch, with only Chawla's leg breaks and Singh's left arm Greek orthodox proving in any way expensive. The Dutch top five all took time to settle in and then got out as they started building their innings. Too many starts, not enough finishes.
The Indian top order made the same rapid and aggressive start they did against Ireland and for much the same result with four of them gone before the side reached 100. They seemed in a big hurry to end it, perhaps not treating the bowlers with enough respect and they all paid a price. Singh and the skipper Dhoni bought some common sense back to the innings and made sure of the two points, with Singh raising his third half century of the tournament from as many attempts. Yet another left arm slow, Pietar Seelaar, took three Indian wickets which included Tendulkar and Sehwag and stood up well under attack.
There's a Tom Cooper playing for the Netherlands he is from the Northern Rivers area.

'Met Tom's little brother last year in the state knockout.
Jack Cooper scored 40 retired against us. No mean feat we came second in the state, but he was only in year 3!!!!!
This year in year 4 he has made the North Coast side.
Write this name down Lango, I'm telling you at least a first class cricketer, probably more.
A good heads-up Conno. Didn't know about either Cooper.
